Default new 3100se questions

Good afternoon all

I’m just about to close on a 2004 3100SE with twin 5.0 and gen. The boat has been on land for two years. My surveyor has found the normal issues. I have two questions first none of the navigation lights or spot light work. Second he found water in the storage bin in front of the refrigerator. This bin has no drain holes into or out of that’s my issue.

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated

Welcome aboard. ! I bought a 3000 scr that was on blocks inside for a year and a half. Had it surveyed also. OK and even went for the sea trial. All OK at the time. That summer I changed impellers bravo ll's and later both out drives boots were done. My point: anything rubber look into it failing on you. Even the Joker valve on the head! Your serpentine belts to all your hoses, make sure you check them. As far as your lights go start with your breakers then switches then at the point of connection.

Good luck

Roger

What does your surveyor consider 'normal' issues?

Normally I would assume the water accumulation came from the fridges defrosting. However, after 2 years I'd assume that evaporated. Was the boat covered? I'd try to determine if it is a leak from the outside (e.g. run rail, rail stanchion, hatch) or the inside (e.g. pressure water system, A/C).
