Default Need trailer + working on getting service manuals

Hey everybody

First, I'm looking for a different trailer for 2001 2500 scr. Does anybody know who made the trailers for maxum boats originally? Anybody have one for sale or know of one for sale?

Second, I called and got an owners manual emailed to me. It contains just general info on the operation of my boat. I emailed them back with my hull number asking about the supplements and any service manuals. I'm assuming if I want a service manual for the drive system I need to get that from Mercruiser right?

Thanks in advance for the help!!

hi TWZ! Welcome aboard! Mercruiser handles the service manuals for the motor and drive. The Maxum owners manual is pretty generic if I recall.

TZW.........A used trailer can be a very hard find! It took me a year to find one for my 2001 3000SCR... Check www.greatlakesskipper.com or just goggle doulbe axle trailer and see what comes up... Look on E-Bay....

Try Clymer or Seloc for your manuals. These are not service manuals but do have alot of info and are not as expensive either.

i watch the boats on ebay under maxum, and most will sell with or without the original trailers. I could have gotten a 28scr trailer, but don't need it since my haul out is only $150.
Would take 10 years to make it worth buying, and by then the trailer would be crap.

After many times searching through google and other links here and there I did find the correct manuals from mercrusier for both inboard and outdrive... Just took a little time!
