Default Need help finding a part for a 1996 Maxum 2000SRL

Hello,

Last time out on the water in early fall the piece that holds the front center window open broke on my 96 Maxum 2000SCR (I think my model in the title is wrong). So now I can't open the window because it will just fly back shut in the wind. Or worse yet it would just break the window from it slamming around back and forth. The problem is that you kind of have to be able to have the window open if you want to go to the front bow and sit.

So two questions.

1. Anyone know what the piece is called.

2. Any idea where I could buy a replacement?

Welcome aboard

Do you have a picture of the latch that broke? These are third party supplied by companies such as Perko.

Have you looked on line for it?

Here is a picture of some (not of mine):

If I find a better picture online I will post it later. It is the part marked in red circle though.

I haven't searched online yet because I don't know what to search.

I don't think it is a latch. Those are the two things that keep the windshield closed. Might be called a catch or brace foot or something like that though.

Yea, mine was just longer. I would say it was 3 inches long or so before it broke and had a slightly smaller ball on the end than the one you posted there.

I will keep looking. Thanks for your help though.

This is more like what the other piece looks like that i have (the one attached to the window): TAYLOR MADE Walk-Through Windshield Door Catch | West Marine it just isn't long enough on the ball side.

I am getting closer though.
