Default My 1989 Maxum 17 xr

Hello everyone I am new here hoping to get some help.I just restored 100% everything new from hull up boat looks like it did the day it was purchased new.What I am looking for is original owners manuals & any paper work that this boat would have had when purchased new.Maybe copys etc??? .Also would love to post some pics if I can..Thanks for reading hope for some help ...

I can probably help you except I think ours is an 88. You can pm me if you want and I can scan and send you the original paperwork and such. I would love to see some pics of your restored boat as I have been working on ours and want to do alot more to it.

Thanks allot Lori we would be grateful .I will need your Email addy seeing I can't figure out how to use the pm system here also I tried to upload b4 & after pics of our boat but it said files were to large??? Hope you get this .Again Thanks

BB...get the hin number on the stern stbd side of the boat..call the USMarine or maxum contact phone number and they will send you a copy of the original owners manual....

can one of you please send me an owner manual to 1989 maxum. i purchased one today that seems in descent condition. interior needs to be cleaned and maybe seats redone. btw, this is my first boat, more of a project i guess. thanks in advance.

I haven't located the Maxum manual yet, although I know we have one somewhere. I did find the mercruiser manual that came with the boat. Is yours I\O Mercruiser?

yes it is. spend all day sunday and it still doestn want to start, it cranks and turns but chokes, i am thinkig if fuel pump needs replacement.
