Default Moving up... Maybe

Well... I am taking a 3rd boat to survey....after stern drive corrosion issues on 2 SCR's... I am purchasing a new (to me)boat with v-drives...

I am trying to buy a 1986 Sea Ray Sedan Bridge. My wife an I decided we liked the sedan style boat more than express cruisers....

This is an older boat, but super clean from the waterline up.... I will find out about the bottom side at survey.... Wish me luck!!! I am really looking forward to few projects that will make this boat truly mine.....( and my wife, of course!)

I still love my 2100sd, but it will have to make another family happy next season.... I will be doing more cruising than tube pulling from now on and I am really looking forward to it!!! There are a lot of great weekend cruises in Puget Sound.

I will still be lurking here in the shadows. This forum has taught me a lot!!!! Thanx everyone!!!

Rocky

Rocky good luck

For the most part boats are boats so you can still ask questions here and share your stories including posting pictures of the new boat.

The Sea Ray probably has GM based gas engines. New to you will be inboard transmissions, log shafts, rudders, and cutlass bearings; bigger Maxums have these as well.

Thanks Mike.
Exactly right. It has a pair of carbureted 5.7's. I am new to shaft drive props- no doubt. I will be asking lots of questions at survey.

I also have a few projects to do soon after she is mine. Can I post pictures of those here too? :-)

Rocky.
