Yes we have been on that site, and the blue looks like bayliner blue, however when we ordered our boat we were told the color blue is so dark it is almost black. That is why we are alittle confused!
:? :?
Thanks for any help
Paul

I Hope This Helps

Paul,

The only blue that the 2500SE is available in, is Portofino Blue. It does not appear very dark in the catalog page illustrations. Maybe you can ask the dealer to see a better sample.

Default Maxum Blue color

Thanks everyone for your replies . We are hoping for a dark Blue and just wanted to see if anyone had a actual picture of Portofino Blue on their boat along with the Bimini top.

We have just ordered our 2500 SE and may want to change the color to Black if the Blue is to light.

Thanks Again
Paul & Kathy

Default Colour problems

Hallo dear Maxum friends,

I just recived my 2700 SE 2008 and I had the same problem as you have. I wanted the dark blue one but the Swedish dealer did't know if its dark or light blue. So what to do...I took the black one and I'm quit happy for that. I had the 2400 SE 2007 last year and that was dark blue with dark blue canvas. Nice!!!
The information regarding Maxum 2008 range through their website/catalouges is a disaster. Old pictures, lack of information, wrong information etc etc. Its a huge gambling to order a new boat. And after ordering you are just hoping to get what you ordered.
Enough complaining and sorry for my english
Enjoy your new boats.

Regards from a cold Sweden

I agree about the Maxum website. It is not a bad 'looking' site, but lacks content. I'm still miffed they did away with their swag store.

Do you get a new boat every year? Sweet! There was a boating club where I use to live where membership rules dictating your boat had to be no older than 2 years old. the dealer loved those guys.

On a side note, it's cool you're from Sweden! My grandparents were came over to the States from Sweden. Last name Sjogren. Long line of sailors. welcome!

Hi Kotte
Welcome to the club.
Could you tell me the goods and the bads of the 2400SE that you had last year.
What engine did you have in it?
This is our first Maxum so we don't know alot about this make of boat. We had three Bayliners over the last Ten years and have had great luck with them.
Is there any chance you might have a picture of your 07 in the dark blue we would love to see the color.
Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul - I'll try...

My boat had a Mercrusier 5.0L MPI Bravo III (260 HP) w/Fresh Water Cooling. It was OK and no problem to use water toys as rings etc. Even with 2 persons in the ring the boat where running OK.
A great boat to use through the weekends. I'm not sure how it is to live in the boat for more the 2-3 days (we havent done it last year, the weather was crap), but to use during a weekend its perfect. I dident do any modifications on the 2400 due to the fact that I recived a boat I dident orded. I orderd a Colored hullside with blue King Plank and I recived the blue stripe. Ordered the camper canavas and the Vintage Decor Pack both of theese where not in the boat.
So the deal was to leave it back and the dealer delivered a new 2008 2700 SE. So thats the reason why i changed the 2400 in such a short time.
The 2700 have litle more space (not much) and it was equipped with the things i ordered.
I have now started to modify it with some LED lights, real teek from Indonesia (not flexiteek) etc etc.

Anyway...you can see some pics on the 2400 SE 2007.

Enjoy you new boat and I hope you the best.

Kotte
