Default Maxum 4600 scb generator

I have 2001 Model Maxum 4600 SCB that I am using since 2006. Recently I needed some spares for Westerbeke Generator and when I check the model from invoice I have seen it is 8.0 BTD at 60 HZ. which is 8 kW, however I was pretty sure that I had 12.5 kW Generator. Anybody knows that which one is the standard equipment, 8 kW or 12.5 kW ?
Best Regards

Dear Sir,

Thanks for suggestion however the Boat is 3000 miles away from me now as end of Summer vacations and trying to find from other owners. I was pretty sure of 12.5 kW BTD however the invoce confused me.

Best Regards

Boats all came with options. Different engine packages and generator packages. There is no single generator as 'standard'.

Do you have the serial number?

Is this a Diesel generator?

Often two models close in Kw output are using the same block. The output difference is in the board and circuit breaker. For example a 5Kw Koehler and an 8Kw Koehler are the exact same generator with different controllers.

I suspect the Westerbeke 8kw and 12 are probably the same.

I don't know if this applies to your generator, but the Kw output also depends on frequency. For instance, my generator is the 5.0 bcg. It puts out 5kw at 50hz, and 4.5kw at 60 hz. Same generator, different winding used in the stator.

We delve into electrical theory here, but 4.5kw at 60hz is the same amount of total energy at the point of consumption as 5kw at 50hz.

Yours may be the same dual naming issue, though it seems like a larger difference than the frequency explains there.
