Default Maxum 2500 SCR. Out of Whack Guages

My 2002 -2500SCR is able to read from the ecu using vesselview mobile that sends the data to my phone.

The problem is:
When i compare my mobile numbers on my phone, they are a long way off from my gauges
It seems the gauges are all wrong.
From battery voltage, engine temperature Speedo and a sticking RPM guage.

I dont want to send in (all) my old guages.
Can i buy digital, or some type of guage that is more accurate.????

Looking at replacing all the gauges.
I have 2- 5inch and the rest are standard 2inch I believe.
Thanks.

The wires coming to the gauges are all analog data so if you want true digital you will need to run a new buss from the engine.

I think some Sea Rays used the bigger gauges if that helps locate them.

Some of my gauges stopped working after new after market trim tabs were installed, The trim tab gauge, speedometer, and maybe another. What are the chances the installer (Harbor mechanic) would have damaged them?

I believe since the lines are analog could this be something I troubleshoot myself? could I trace lines and do things like make sure nothing was cut and that the wires are connected to gauges correctly? I know how to do simple wire splicing and mending. I don't know how easy the wires are to trace.

Is it the trim tab gauge or outdrive trim gauge? If the latter it’s most likely a bad sensor of the side of the gimbal ring, look for broken wires. The speedometer uses air pressure so the air tube may have become disconnected from the leading edge of the outdrive. Under Documents of this site you will find the Mercruiser manuals which include the wiring diagrams which should help.

Thank you! I will look at the documentation. Would Mercruiser and Maxum boats have similar setup so the documentation would be similar?

The gauge which shows if the trim tabs are up or down(The tabs that help your boat lift to the top of the water not the propeller angle).

I will also look at the air pressure tube. I saw a document in a different forum a little while ago.

The helm wiring harness for the ignition switch and gauges comes from Mercruiser.

Just to update this thread.

I did go with all New gauges from Faria.
Realized my 22 year old gauges were not very accurate.
Low the new look, easier to see, and more accurate.

Ill get a picture up later if I have one.
Boat is on lake.

Speedo is tied to the outdrive. The speedo works on water pressure and is notorious for being inaccurate or not working. The trim tab gauge however would have been tied to the trim tabs.
