Maxum 2400 SCR, how hot can it get before an alarm

Does anyone know at what temperature the hot engine alarm sensor triggers on a 2400 SCR, the sensor is part number WT3000 or old number WT3000P. 5.00 carb model.

If an open system anything above 160 F is not good.

I kind of had a similar question lately. With rising summer water temps in the bay and barnacles probably growing around my water intakes, my engines have been running closer to 200 while cruising. The alarm on one came on after coming back off plane recently and I let it idle. Temp came back down under 200, but alarm kept going for several minutes after. Is that the sender switch that's hanging up or is there a timer built into the alarm circuit?
And these are closed cooling engines, which should be why they run warmer.

Temp switches have a trip and reset threshold with the reset being a low temp. This is to prevent rapid on/off. Marine closed cooling systems typically still use a 160F t-stat so they running the same temp as an open system. Sounds like you have marine growth around the intake.
