Default Maxum 2007 2400 SE

Hi Everyone,

Just bought this boat 4 weeks ago. Driving across Lake Erie to Pelee Island and this beeping noise started. It beeped every 5 min until we reached island. However when docking boat stalled and having hard time to restart.
Sending unit on dash displayed 1) system fault 2) STBD system fault- engine sensor 3) trim position sensor is not working properly.
Has anyone ran into this problem?
Trying to get back to mainland . Is there a quick fix to this?

Thanks in advance!

You did say but I’m assuming you have a MPI engine so a mechanic can read the fault log for more details. If it’s just the trim position sensor it’s on the side of the gimbal ring and probably has a broken wire. Not an easy repair without just replacing the entire sender which I wouldn’t do until the bellows need replacement. I didn’t know this sender was monitored by the MPI ECM.
