Default Lights in salon

Has anyone replaced the lights in the salon with LED ‘s, I’m talking about the lights that run along the top of the salon (controlled by the light switch by the radio)?

Also anyone replaced the reading light fixtures with anything?

I also want to put led lights for the curtesy lights in the cockpit, Amy recommendation on a light fixture that will allow me to use the original holes?

Thanks

Mike

Default I used these ...

Not sure what style fixture you have, but these were drop-in replacements for the halogen bulbs in both the overhead puck lights and reading lights ..

Worked well for me, color was very similar to the incandescent (I didn't want harsh-white). Quality is decent, I've had to replace a couple of the LEDs after 2 years because they started flickering but they are inexpensive.

They are usually G4 Side-pin bulbs. Most any G4 side pin LED will work. I had to trim the length of the pins once (being careful not to bend or crip the lead).

I try to find the warmest light I can find.

I have changed all my bulbs to led's. The overhead lights with the pins only work with the pins in the right way, so if it doesn't work the first time just turn the bulb. I like the l.e.d.s and I got them on ebay. I ordered blue for the helm area.

Your helm lights should be red.

The blue LEDs really attract the bugs in the spring, up here in the Inland Northwest area. But they do look cool.
