Default Lake Pleasant AZ

I am looking for information on Lake Pleasant AZ. How the the weather and wind are. What you like and dislike about it. We are looking for a warm winter place to boat and possibly buy a home. Thanks for any and all info.

Pleasant has a couple real nice marinas. It's VERY crowded on summer weekends and the wind blows a lot. Summer temps are hot.

Are you looking to slip your boat or trailer it?

I live in the Phoenix area and never go to Pleasant, it's just too much of a rat race for me. I trailer my boat to Powell in April and store it up there until September.

During the winter Pleasant is not as crowded and the temps are much more moderate (lower 70's today).

If planning to be a snowbird then you should be fine.

Thanks for the info. We trailer the 2400scr and are looking more for winter.
How is wind in the winter?
How often do you make it up to Powell? That's a trip we have talked about too.
Thanks Phillbo

Winds are not an issue in the winter, nor are the crowds.

I go to Powell as often as possible. Storing the boat at the lake makes it so much easier to run up for short trips (no 4.5 hour tow). Last year we got 34 nights on the lake. I plan to improve on that this year
