Default Just joined

Just joined. I have a 1997 1700 SR Maxum Runabout that I purchased new. It's been a great boat with few minor problems. The metal strips on the side (I believe it's above where the air intakes are located) which are moroon or burgundy are peeling. The local paint stores are unable to match it. Any suggestions to my finding it? Thanks, Ken in Nashville

Welcome aboard.

Can you post a picture? This may be a Maxum spefic item and the line was shut down in 2009 so you may need to come up with your own solution.

Welcome aboard Morboating!!!!!

Moved the thread from "Welcome Mat | New Member Introductions" to "Maxum Owners General Discussions"

If it's just the air intake and it's metal consider something else like black or chrome.

I know this is an old post but the same thing happened to mine, I ended up stripping both sides than I polished the two aluminum strips to match the windscreen. Came out looking great.
