Speedysprocket, I live in Chesapeake Va too, (Great Bridge). but moving to Cape Charles in Dec.
Who is leta, in case I need new canvass. Currently my new boat looks good for another couple years. But I want green and learning sunbrella is the good stuff. Current pic of owners boat. Soon to be mine in another 10-20 days.

Google Leta’s Top Shop. She bought all the Maxum patterns when they closed shop

She’s located in Washington state. She has most patterns but you will need to install the snaps as their placement varies some. You’ll need to invest in a good tool not the cheaper one.

She sent all the snaps and required tools with my canvas... Actual brand name Vice-Grips, too. Not some knock off...

I know they include the snaps but didn’t know the tool was included.

Vice grips with the crimpers that fit on the jaws and the hole punch.

I would still get a quote from your local canvas maker. If you have never done this before it could be overwhelming.

My local quote was over twice the price of Leta. Doing the snaps wasn’t bad and it was my first time

It's a personal decision that only the OP can make. Some of us will do major engine work but never touch canvas others would only do the opposite. The OP is the only one who knows his talent/comfort level.
