Default Is my boat a Maxum?

Hi all,

I've recently purchased a fixer-upper. Unfortunately I've no idea what it is! It looks a bit like a late 80's early 90's Maxum so thought I would ask here.
It has a metal flake/glitter finish under clear gelcoat. P.S. The seat covers and carpet have been replaced so will not look original.

any help with this would be much appreciated!

Oh, its an outboard, not an inboard despite what the vents might suggest.

Is there a HIN on the top right side of the transom?

http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.htm

Any boat manufactured in the US after Nov. 1, 1977 were required to have a HIN. The HIN will tell you manufacturer and year of the boat. (If it was built in the US after that date).
