Default Intermittent Starting problem

Hi Guys
(Maxum 1800, 3ltr engine)

We have an intermittent starting problem, when we have been out and about and we anchor up, sometimes when we need to move on, and the Starter switch is engaged, NOTHING (no clicking, no 'whering' of starter etc, just nothing), after a few tries, its fine as if nothing had been amiss, I've replaced the ignition/starter switch so that's not the problem.

Any thoughts

John

Most likely it’s a bad slave solenoid that’s on the engine near the engine breaker. It’s about $25 US.
