Single Diesel which cruises at a screaming 9kts. However, she burns 1/2 the fuel over the same distances as the 2800 SCR does.

The 2800 SCR is currently under contract. The survey passed (I was not surprised by that) and now we're pending a seatrial. I just need to get a few boats in front of the Maxum moved out of the way so I can get it launched, seatrialed and SOLD!!.

The Maxum is a good running boat and we'll be sad to see her go, however I suspect the Mainship will help us get over it fairly quickly. We were fortunate that this boat hit just about every 'Must Have' on our list.

We should be spending the first night on her tonight.

Way To Go!
Comfort over speed is the way to do it!
Just wish I could do it!!!
Good luck with the new boat!

LOL, not while I still need a job to pay for it. Now that our range is increased and fuel consumption is decreased, we're looking at some cruises that have us venturing further than we've gone before.

Congrats!

I'm hoping to move up in a similar fashion someday. Is she dual station?

Perfect 'enjoyment' form. Room not only for living, but for working on mechanical and electrical issues too. Having just spent 15 minutes fiddling with a sump pump float switch in my favorite 'fix it hot yoga' position this morning, extra space for working is always great.

Yes, dual station. The lower helm has a door to the stbd side deck and midship cleat.
