Default Hull anode

So this weekend I set out to replace some zinc anodes on my 1989 Maxum 2300 (alpha one). Took care of the gimbal housing zinc, the trim tab zinc, and the two "dome" zincs on either side of the drive housing....I also noticed that on the underside of the hull about 3 feet from the transom was a flat hull anode which unfortunately crumbled while I removed it. The bolts from it ran through the hull into the engine compartment and there was a wire from the gas tank to one of the bolts....any idea where I could find another one of these? Or is it really necessary? I believe it is called "dynabar" but I could not find it in the West Marine catalog..

Default Re: Hull anode

any marine store will have a huge brick type that will mount too those 2 bolts.....make sure you do replace it cuz it's added protection for your aluminum drive...
