Default How do I get my dog on the boat?

I have an 1800mx and an 80lb Rottweiler and I haven't taken him on the boat yet because I'm not sure how to get him back on the boat once he gets off. With my last boat, we would anchor near a sand bar and spend the day and he could pretty easily get back on the boat because the swim platform was at the water level but the platform on this boat (factory platform with the ladder) is about a foot above the water. My concern is that unless he can get some footing with his hind legs that he's not going to be able to go from swimming to climbing very easily even with his lifejacket on.

Any suggestions that don't involve drilling holes in the transom of my new boat?

Thanks.

That would work. Too bad it's backordered.
