Default Hours meter replacement

The LCD screen on my 2001 Maxum 1900SR has blacked out at the bottom third.

Since the bottom is blacked out I can’t tell if it is xxx.x hours xxxx hours.

Anyone have a potential solution?

The hour meter is in the tachometer. Not sure if just the meter can be replaced or if the whole tachometer would need to be replaced. If the meter can be replaced, would that zero out the hours. I would prefer to keep the hours.

I tried leaving the key on for 20 minutes but the hours didn’t change. Leave it on for another 40 minutes?

Thanks

The engine may need to be running for the meter to increment. I don’t think the meter can be separately replaced. Any new meter will be at zero hours with no easy way to set in your current hours.
