Default hour meter

Am looking at purchasing a 1994 Maxum 1800sr with the 4.3 liter engine. Would like to know the engine hours but did not see that anywhere on the gauges. Is that somewhere hidden on the boat. Any replies would be much appreciated.

welcome to the zoo.....if there isn't a gauge on the dash..or one in the engine bay....then it could be pulled from the computer provided it's an mpi or fi engine...if it's all carbed...nothing fancy....then there is now way to get the engine hrs ...it's all going to be a guestimation...

hope this helps but what I'd do to ensure you get a nice boat ..have it surveyed....do both a hull and mechanica survey...

I had the same issue with the 1995 1800SR I just bought, but luckily the previous owner had all the maintenance receipts and whatnot, so I was pretty confident it was well taken care of, and the engine looked clean and belts looked good, etc etc. So far, its running like a champ.

well the guy that has the boat is a long time friend and has showed me everything that has been done. He is very meticulous about things. Was just wondering if it was available. Guess not
