Smile Heating Water in water heater

I am a newer owner and wondering if my 2004 Maxum 2900 will also heat the water in the hot water tank when running the motors as well as the 110 shore power. At this time that is not happening. Do not have a generator. Surely Maxum would have this option. All my previous boats did dating back to 1987.

The shower is cold owner and my wife is not happy!

Glen welcome aboard.

To answer your question you’ll need to look at the water heater to see if there are two coolant hoses plumber to it from one of the engines. Someone may have added a valve. If not plumbed you should be able to do so. A few pictures of the water heater and engines would help identify if it’s plumbed.
