Default head problem 2300sc

I know how the toilet works but am not sure what happens next. There are 2 pipes coming out of the back of the porta loo ( 1 thick and 1 thin) that lead into the bottom of the boat but can't see where they go too. do they lead to a holding tank for the waste and if so how is it pumped out

If its the same as on my 2100SC, the Pump handle just provides some rinse water and then a handle is pulled forward for the waste to fall into a holding tank. On the bow a small cap is provided that allows the hold tank to be emptied. I believe the small hose you see is for venting and allows the suction to pull out the waste.

When you totally figure it out be sure and post your data on this board.

Have traced the large pipe to the starboard side of the boat near the cockpit next to the fresh water inlet marked waste and underneath this is the vent pipe outlet. This is obviously where the waste is pumped out as this is some 3ft above the porta poti. I guess Ihave to go to a pumping station or purchase a pump myself. Is buying a pump is an option? your comments would be welcome. Many thanks.

UK I'm sure has different regs then us here in the USA Here we can't pump overboard unless we a beyond 2 miles from shore!
But no need for a pump, pump outs just use vacum to pump out your holding tank and it works just fine!

Default pump

As pointed out, UK/US regs are probably different. I can tell you that most fuel docks in my area offer Free Pump out when you fill er up. A couple of Marina's have coin operated pump-out stations where you purchase a token for a dollar and the vacuum runs for about 5 minutes which is more than enough time to empty the largest of holding tanks.

Hi , I got a 2001 Maxum 2300sc with Porta Potti and I have the same kind of tubes as in your boat.In Denmark there is very few pump-out stations. There is no holding tank in the my boat, only the tank under the Porta Potti.I have blinded the "pump-out" hole in the tank in the Porta Potti and use it as a "normal" Porta Potti.
