GPS Install

I have looked through the postings for some pointers on wiring a gps up. It is going into a 2001 Maxum 2500 SCR.
I am assuming it should be straight forward but just making sure.
Any guides or instrutions GREATLY appreciated. Anybody in the Seattle area want to com out and be hands on, I'll buy the pizza and beer.
