Fuel in forward Bilge! Help!

Hi everyone!
I am new to boating and have just bought a 2800SCR built in 2000. It has 4.3 Mercruisers V6 with carbs.
Scary moment recently when ref bilge started to fill with fuel after brimming the fuel tank for the first time. Mechanic emptied bilge bd discovered a split filler hose which was immediately changed.
Next trip out and we discovered about 2 pints of fuel in the forward bilge, mopped it out and all good. We then used the boat for two days and had no problems, bilge bone dry 😊
Today we went out again and after 1 hr chugging around the harbour at 6 knots we found about a Pint of fuel in the forward bilge again!
Aft bilge seems okay, tank is about 50% full of fuel. We didn't go on the plane....so the question is....how has the fuel got into that bilge, what should we check?
Obviously needs sorting so all advice really appreciated!

First stop using the boat, fuel vapors are explosive and will migrate very easily.

I would have the fuel tank pressure tested. Where is the fill and vent on this model?

IMO if half full and leaking it's got to be the tank.

Thanks Mike, I think the pressure test is the next step.....I'll keep you posted
