Front roof hatch

I have a 1998 Maxum 2500scr with a baron front roof hatch. I need to replace the latches and shocks. Does anyone know if the hatch seperates on the top of the hatch to be able to replace the latches?

I think you mean "Bomar" not baron. Bomar hatches were used on all Maxum boats and you'll find a model and serial number in the inside of the hatch wall.



You can get your hatch number and contact Bomar directly, or take that number to your local chandlery and source the parts from them.

Sorry. Typo. You are correct on the name. I have the new latches and shocks. Just can’t figure out if top of hatch seperates to get new hatch latches installed

If you go to Bomar website (or West Marine etc) you can look up your hatch model and serial number in an exploded view. Then you'll be able to see the construction of your unit.

Just an fyi...Jim Black Hatches and cleats supplied hatches to Maxum on some newer models.
