Good for you

Got our first real snow fall of the season one week before Spring starts.

Only about 4 inches with the last inch being ice. Only dreaming of the boat for now.

Gotta love sunrise in Padre Bay.

Nice to be on the lake before the crowds show up and with rising water.

Great start Phiibo! Here in the Midwest we can only dream about boating with the weather that we have had! Going to Florida at the end of March for a week and I hope when I come back I can take that shrink wrap off and get started!

We have the heat this week, 10-20 deg. above normal.

Bad cellphone pic but was all I had at the moment.

I miss Lake Powell. Spent at least 2 weeks a year there for around 30 years....

The mussels are lakewide,now.
You see them on most rock surfaces.
I can't imagine leaving a boat in the water for a period of time.
Sand beeches are ok, mussels mostly appear to attach to hard rock,
or any solid surface for that matter.

This Quagga mussel infestation is really a shame. I have to assume this was transported via trailered boat from the Great Lakes to Lake Powell. That is very frustrating. We have an issue with Milfoil in NH. Very easily transported as well. There is a pond near me that I used to fish in after work. Clear water, fishing was great. I saw a guy launch a power boat when he mistakenly assumed he was launching in the River, however the boat ramp for the river was actually around the corner about 800 yards.

3 years later, the pond and canal were infested with milfoil. By late summer you can't even get a lure through it.

Oh, man, what a shame. Last time I was there was 2013. The mussel inspection was intense.

That's gotta really spoil some of the beautiful views down in the narrow canyons.

Those mussels are dangerous, razor sharp.

The intense inspections did not last though. Now it's just drain and dry instructions at the ramps.

And we know how well the general public reads and follows instructions and signs.
