Default Finally ready

Well over a month later the boat is in the slip and the name and numbers are on making her officially ours

Taking the boat out of the Barn at the end of March

I had to clear almost 3 feet of snow out of the path I needed to follow and use the Kubota since any truck was getting nowhere

Saturday was at least sunny even if it was cold so we manged to christen her and get the numbers and tags on

She is in the slip and after nearly $5ooo in repairs and tweaks including pulling the engine out we are ready for the season

Now we just need the rain to stop

Huh the gold outline doesn't show in the pic

The rest of the story hehehe

Found the pic, the day after that vid above was shot, we actually got more snow the next day

Gotta love North Idaho

Of course when you have this lake to play on you deal with it

The north end of lake Pend Oreille

The south end

Yes it really is that deep that they have special subs in there

I am getting excited for season

can ya tell

First day after all the repairs,

Smooth sailing, but still have much to learn, especially in the cabin..

We are moored over in Hope on the east side of the lake this year ..
New boat new slip
We were in Sandpoint/City Beach with the old boat for 5 years, but decided to switch, made sense since we mostly headed over by the Islands off Hope as our spot anyway

Lake Pend Oreille

"In the northern Idaho Panhandle is the largest lake in the U.S. state of Idaho and the 38th-largest lake by area in the United States, with a surface area of 148 square miles (380 km2). It is 43 miles (69 kilometers) long, and 1,150 feet (350 meters) deep in some regions, making it the fifth-deepest in the nation. It is fed by the Clark Fork River and the Pack River, and drains via the Pend Oreille River. It is surrounded by national forests and a few small towns, with the largest population on the lake at Sandpoint. The majority of the shoreline is non-populated. All but the southern tip of the lake is in Bonner County. The southern tip is in Kootenai County and is home to Farragut State Park, formerly the Farragut Naval Training Station during World War II of which a small part is still active and conducts US Navy acoustic underwater submarine research."

Good Luck! We boat Pend Oreille as well. Usually launch at Farragut and stay to the south but occasionally make it up to Garfield bay and the sand bar near Hope.

Awesome

Probably heading into the south end of the lake today

Not sure if you are on Facebook but we have a LPO club on there, just started this season

Join us there too if you get a chance, might eventually be a good share spot for LPO locals
