Default "Failure to Launch"

So I just got a call from the marina. Bellows aren't done, impellor isn't done, the boat is still behind three other boats. So, it doesn't look like I'll be launching this weekend. Since I'm on call next weekend, that means I launch on memorial day weekend, which was supposed to be a 4 day weekend for me. I suppose life isn't too bad if this is my biggest problem right now, but @##$# boating can be grustrating sometimes!

I feel your pain.....shrew.

Never fails try to plan something and your marina mechanic has different ideas on your schedule and for a holiday weekend to boot.

I try to manage my own density and do this work myself. Then again the boat is ready but other life issues have prevented me from using it.

Seems like we are all have a slow start this year, hope it goes well for everyone.

Well, it looks like things managed to turn around for me. I showed up at the marina and found my boat pulled out of the hole and positioned in a way to get the travel lift readily around it. Sat. morning my mechanic showed up and did the Gimbal Bearing, Bellows, and drive shift cable (I had replaced the throttle and shift cables along with a new shifter a few weeks earlier). Then did my impellor. I launched on Sunday morning and relocated the boat to the new marina.

Floating docks are SO NICE compared to fixed docks. However the slips are MUCH narrower. I'm used to a slip significantly wider. From the water, it looked like i was trying to slide a card into an envelope. It worked out fine in the end.
