3.79 gallon at the pumps. Should be about $4 gal at the marinas. Still too early to tell as they have not yet opened for the season.
thanks Obama, keep up the good work and maybe we can catch up to the rest of the world.

Now now guys.......not to turn this thread into a bomb.........I believe I paid just as much with Mr Bush also....... Personally I don't care what party line you are standing on they have about as much control of the price of gas as we do......... IMHO
We are actually exporting barrels of oil so the price should be going down.........Talk to your fatcat on Wall st. He will tell you the reason$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

$5.86 a gallon at the pumps here in Australia, we export all our oil to buy back only the 10% shortfall, it's all about the government pockets, also apparently the Sudan oil platforms closing due to civil unrest, high Aussie dollar, floods in Thailand, snow in the states, sun in Greece, debt crisis in Greece, low euro zone activity and the hole in the ozone......think that's about the last weeks excuses :-), like death, tax can't be cheated better of choosing the smile and grin approach

Somebody give me a commonsense answer why a gallon of gas goes up and down in price like yo-yo. Our summer demand, your summer demand, price of a barrel of oil, supply - demand...what gives.
Road taxes,states taxes,etc etc.

simple, oil used to be traded as a "wet barral", meaning it was not sold unit filled...
Now, oil is sold on specilation and futures like sugar or corn.
Will there be an "oil-bubble"?
consider on every gallon in the states, Federal tax is 50 cents, State tax is 65 cents, and your local county tax is 75 cents.
So that 50% as a regressive consuption tax.
More you burn the more you pay.
Europe has been taxing people to mass transit since 1960..... Obama is limiting movent by taxiation.
My maxum's next engine will be a coal fired steam side wheeler with bravo III's.
I paid $4.69 a gallon last summer BTW, and home heating oil $4.37

The latest issue of Boating has an article about using LP instead of gas with small outboards. Works great and half the price.

we hit 3.88....the other stations are all showing 4+/- around town....I don't see how the economy can sustain that kind of price...

Its the same here in the UK ed, we get taxed on taxes, government like to think they are being green and high fuel costs will keep us off the road, what they really mean is it helps put all the imigrants coming in in a house with all food and clothes paid for. I heard on the radio that Obama and Cameron were discussing releasing some of Americas stockpile to eaze fuel prices, but our fuel needs to be halved to be realistic, but we may see a few pence drop. its not just the governments at fault, we have iol tankers anchored off shore waiting fro the prices to peak before they come in to off load.
America could up it output fro drilling of oil and decrease their total import by a third!

Ok time to turn back the clock.....since this thread catches the interest of a few- what's the lowest you remember fuel, but you have to put a comparative with it
Like : $1.85 gallon and a packet of smokes was about $2 and you got free matches

let's NOT forget that our savior in chief vetoed the pipeline from Canada that not only would have delivered oil/fuel from our neighbors but millions of dollars of income to those looking for work.
my sister has the right idea but I'll never tell her so. (she sails)

think about this:
Automobile where around from 1895, but only a toy for the rich..... mobility for the rich.
Henry Ford, had several Ford motor companies, but kept getting fired from his investors, until he did it himself without the "banks". He build the Model T to give the farmer something other then working the land with a horse, and gave us po-fok mobility.
Why Model T...? Becasue he had build model A thru S prior and T- was the model then ran on the first assemble line.
The Model A was when the factor closed for retooling and he started over with a A.
Who gave you Mobility? and who's restricting it now?
