Default Experience with refrigerators

Hi everyone

I have been wondering about how long I can have my refrigerator turned on aboard my Maxum 2700SCR without flattening the batteries. The manual is very basic and only recommends leaving it on set on 1; the lowest setting for overnight.

My batteries are new. Does anyone have any experience with this? How many hours, what temperature setting etc???

Cheers

Jim

Default fridge

that depends on the size of batt's you have..if you have a gp24 batt..then it will go flat pretty quick if you have the fridge on anything above 1-2.....if you can...get a couple of 6 vdc golf cart batts and hook them up in series (I think that's what you do to make the voltage additive) and then that should get you thru for a few days...only use them as dedicated house batts..the number 2 can remain the start batt..
I know mine are rather smallish batt.s but we generelly never end up on the hook...and we have a genny...so that helps out alot...
