Dragged skeg help

I dragged the skeg on the ramp and when I stopped the skeg was no longer on the ground. It ground off probably 1/4 inch or so of it. Is there any possibility that anything besides pride was damaged (ex:trasom)

What type of outdrive?

Is the skeg damaged?

Probably no other damage. You can install a skeg guard as a repair.

I think it’s the alpha 2 out drive. It’s a 2004 Maxum with the 5.0 mercruiser. The skeg only has about 1/4 inch of material taken off

That would be an Alpha 1 Gen 2. If you don’t want to install a skeg guard you should paint the exposed aluminum with zinc chromate then Mercruiser black.
