Hi Gang,
Has anyone painted the bottom of their inflatable dinghy with the boat name/logo?
I need to do this so that when I haul my inflatable side mounted on the davits the boat name is displayed on the bottom of the dingy for identification purposes by VHF. The dinghy covers the boat name posted on the transom in this position.
Question: What paint to use, or can you use a vinyl letter/logo such as the one on your boat?
I suspect the vinyl may get scrapped when moving dinghy in and out of water.
i'll to would use rubber or vinyl paint (first try it out on a piece of material if it holds and start trying with the cheapest product maybe it saves bucks)
I used this in black with a stencil to apply my registration numbers to my inflatable dinghy. They make it in gray as well as white. That should work fine, I would think.
Thanks Shrew,
I was thinking the same kind of paint with a stencil I will make from printing out my logo/boat name on my printer.
I am going to Defender this weekend and look for Dark Green, since that's my boats accent color, if not I'll use black.
Yes Defender has a rubber paint. No one carries it in any color but white, gray or black.
Since the dink is gray I guess black it is.
We boat in the lower CT river.
