Default Canvas / Isinglass Replacement Front Windows 2008 Maxum 2900SE

My front windows are toast (the three panel windows that connect to the radar arch at the top and the deck below the window at bottom.

I've wasted enough money on expensive cleaner / restorer - after 10 years need to replace

Letas Top has all the patterns and sounds like they know what they're doing, but $1300US for strataglass

Does that sound reasonable?

Thanks.

Get a second quote from a local canvas shop.

Yes, Strataglass is a higher cost material. I certainly suggest getting another quote for comparison sake, but I would be fair and make sure they're also quoting for Strataglass and at the same guage (thickness) as any other quotes.

You could also ask Leta's TS if there is a different price for alternate material such as O'Sea or Regalite.

Leta’s is consistently the best price for canvas for me. Local places are always twice the cost, whether it was new panels or replacing the glass in them...

Are you saying $1300 for just the front, or for the whole set with front, sides, and back?

Even with junk material, $1300 for front, sides AND back would be steal. I also assume we talking about the entire window (frame, zippers and isinglass), not taking existing panels and doing an isinglass replacement on them.

If the frames, zippers and snaps are all good and only the isinglass is smoked, then talk to someone about doing an isinglass replacement on the existing windows. It's much cheaper. However, if you have fit issues, you will still have fit issues.

I just sent my side panels back to Leta’s. $250 to replace the glass for the pair. Everywhere local quoted me $300-$500 per panel to fix them!
