The carrier housing has bearings and seals I suggest you look at the Bravo manual under Documents of this site.

Bought the boat couple years ago with 250 hours on it, pretty clean boat but maintenance was done poorly.
New exhaust bellows was installed with 2 screws drilled right into the housing to hold bellows on????( probably China crap).
Shift bellows 100% incorrect part.
So i need to figure out what i can fix, and what I Cant.
Replacing the carrier seal and bearing, along with bellows etc has to be done.
Just trying to figure out if buying the proper wrench for carrier $200:00 Canadian dollars, is worth me trying to get it out, or should it go to a shop??
So I am wondering if its not worth tackling myself???
Or if I can even do it, without bending or breaking something???
Any thoughts appreciated.
Im going to do Impellor and maybe bellows to save money, or do impellor and carrier replaced, and pay someone to do shift cable and ujoint bellows.
I can only afford to do one or the other, but feel both need done this year so looking for some direction.
What do i need to heat, to get carrier out, i know it looks bad on outside with corrosion, but shaft etc is spotless.
Maybe inner threads are good???
Hope you see my problem.
Thanks.
Did New manifolds, and risers last year.
Working on getting boat ship shape.
