Default bow thruster

Our marina is a pain in the arse to negotiate when there is a small amount of wind so i am thinking of maybe fitting a bow thruster in winter, does any body have any tips or input as to selection and fitting for a 2800 scr.i also already have an electric windlass fitted could i use the main electric cables from this to run power to the thruster as i wont be using the anchor and thruster at the same time.

I wouldn't tap into the windlass...run fresh cables according to manufacturers recommendation and use proper breakers....also make sure you don't get too close too the keel..leave enough material to provide proper support....good luck and might wanna post some pics here of the job so we can drool and turn green with envy!!!..
