It was about 55 Nautical miles one way to Falmouth. Falmouth to the Vineyard was about 11 one way.

Took the boat to Block Island for the weekend. Made a last minute decision to go to the Town Marina at Old Harbor instead of going for a mooring at New Harbor. Awesome time but I will never go to a place again where they raft boats up to you. People crawling all over my boat was not for me!

Nice!
Brings back a lot of memories. It has been a while, so I’m not sure if Panes still has individual slips or not.

Paynes doesn't have individual slips, per se. They mostly Med moor off of the piers (minus the anchors) and raft the boats together.
I spend most of my time at Block Island. All told I probably spent somewhere around 5 weeks at Block this year, and most weekends. I mostly anchor in the Great Salt Pond.

I could not handle having a stranger rafted up next to me in a marina unless I invited them to join us. Most of the T docks in my marina are occupied by Houseboats so it's not an issue...
Most of our time is spent up lake but on occasions when we get a late start or need an early depart well grab a slip...

Well, the seasons over (for me anyway). I'm on the hard doing maintenance and some upgrades for an early spring start next year. We had a great season with many trips all over the bay and beyond. I only posted a few. I can't wait to return to Block Island. Would love to meet some fellow Maxum owners there!

Thanks. we like it. For a pocket cruiser it's very roomy. I'm 6'4" and can stand up in the galley. I have to sleep in the V Berth by myself though since my Wife says I take up too much room.. She sleeps in the Aft Cabin. Fine with me since I go to sleep early and she likes to stay up late watching movies

While I don't own a Maxum any longer, you're welcome to come by and say hello to me. If all goes as planned, I intend on being at Block from the last week of June until the week after Labor Day in 2021. The exception is a 2+ week trip out to Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

Sounds like a great summer planned! Not sure what are dates are yet but will be going multiple times to the Block and plan on hitting Martha's Vineyard. Will try to catch you somewhere.

Happy spring everyone! Worked hard this fall and winter to be ready early this spring and here we are. My boat is scheduled to be put in the water tomorrow. Can't wait to share and hear of all the boating adventures this season. Maybe if things align I can meet some of you in person at various ports such as Newport or Block Island. Nantucket is also on the menu this season.

Hello everyone. Been enjoying the boat on weekends but due to windy days and iffy weather there hasn't been any trips yet other than a short ride on Easter Sunday. Still got to enjoy the new "under the swim platform" lights. Hopefully weather permitting will anchor overnight somewhere next weekend.

Boating Adventures to Share
So....April sucked and so didn't the start of May. Then had a couple engine issue. Got them resolved this past Friday just in time to head out on Saturday. Took a cruise around Prudence Island and ended at a restaurant in Fall River for a late lunch that had a boat dock. After lunch went to a cove, dropped anchor and spent the night. Had a great time. Felt good to be out on the water.
