Default Boat shows

Hey
I see that some of you have had your Boat shows aready.
I was wondering how the prices were compared to last year, and were there as many dealers as normal?
In general how was it?
Cheers
Paul

our boat show was down in attendance about 40%....venders were also down about 44%....prices weren't that great concidering the economy...it's just sad but they weren't really willing to deal......some deals were being made but I didn't see them..
the venders were sitting around talking too themselves....

Wow thats not good.
Our show is in two weeks in Halifax, it is a small show as it is. I hope not to many venders drop out.
Last years show was the biggest weve had in years.

Same here in Spokane. Local boat show just ended. I have not heard attendance numbers and yes, the prices still went up. My wife fell in love with a 33' Searay. MSRP was nearly $3OOk, they had on sale for $199k. I figured I could have dickered another $25k off that if I was serious.

Vendors were the same with exception of Olympic (our Maxum dealer). No Maxums were at show but another local dealer (SeaRay) picked up the line.

I was at the Atlantic City shows this weekend and did not see a single Maxum. Hope Brunswick doesn't close them down.

I spoke to a friend who works at Tobler Marina about the recent Spokane Show. He said they sold 14 boats. Normally they would average around 100+ boats sold during the show. This 100+ would also be about 20% of their yearly sales.. Now he is questioning his job stability...

Hi
Well we had our Boat show this weekend and to my surprise it was pretty close to last year as far as dealers and attendance.Prices were up but they said it was just the exchange on the dollar. Our bayliner/Maxum dealer had twenty boats from a 17ft. bowrider up to a 31ft maxum with the axius drive system($239,000.00).The Maxum 2500SE was on for$77,000.00 and did not have all the options it had last year.
I spoke to some sales people who said sales were good but not as good as last year.

Nice pics! Axius drive AND the other system (don't remember name) that maintains position (while engine running) will be on my next vessel for sure.

I'd suggest a new name for your vessel 'Tully's Angels'. Good luck with that, LOL!
