Default Boat name...Where?

Hello All,

Been away for awhile (misplaced my password/username). Anyway, I have a 2002 Maxum 2700 SCR with no name on it. I want to have one made up, but not sure where to stick it. I was thinking of putting it on the trunk lid.

Can anybody recommend letter size or a better place?

Thanks.

I had mine on the transom but under the transom locker....mine was made of starboard and wouldn't stick....so we just used about 8-10" sized lettering...worked well there...

glad you made it back...
SP :hello:

Mad Max, on this site did my lettering. He did a GREAT job!!! My transom door is made of that starboard also, so it would not stick.

When I was shopping for my 2700 I saw one online with the name on the transom locker door. I thought I would put a name there (if I ever got around to it) and assumed it would stick based on that picture. How sure are we that vinyl lettering will not stick to it?

Maybe that boat had a custom door made, or sanded it smooth or something.

My 2500 had lettering on the transom door when I got it, but the vinyl lettering Mad Max made me (which are SWEET!) just would not stick. If anybody figures out what needs to be done to get lettering to stick, please let me know. I highly recommend Mad Max's work! Good stuff!
