Tell me about it. I woke Rip Van Winkle in Spring 2019, an '05 1800 SR3 with a cracked block on 30 hours since, new. Showroom condition, but 15 years old. Still no name.
Thinking.... I got nothing.

A few things to think of ...
- how will it sound over VHF with everyone listening. Long, hard to pronounce/hard to understand, potentially offensive, and 'overly common' names should be avoided.
- like tattoos, the name should mean something to you - everyone doesn't need to get it, but it has to mean something to you. Telling the story of your boat's name is always good dockside banter.

I bought our boat for my Girlfriends birthday. It was a surprise. Her name is Paula and I named the boat "Mi Paulina".

My Ex is a Paula and I almost named the boat after her "RHB" Red Headed B!
She's now a blonde after her hair went gray.
I considered Max Relief as well as my dad served on the USS Relief in WWII.
To date it's name less and I've owned it for 11 years.

My 2400 SCR is named Luna Da Miel ( The Honeymoon ).
Saw a boat in Mexico named that did not know the translation but once we knew that was going to be the name of a future boat! Took awhile to find the right boat.
In naming a boat I look at the boat and stand on it to see if it fits the boat and how comfortable you feel with it.
My last boat was named Fur Ball. It was a neglected 18 ft cuddy cabin that had cats living in it when I bought it.
Good luck.
Don

We had such a hard time naming our second boat, we just named it the same name and threw a II at the end. We rarely use the II when hailing with friends.

I had a list of about 15 names. Every day I would cross one out. In the end we kept the one taken from our Golden lab dog who had passed a few years ago. Shannon. And Irish themed. Two shamrocks are wife and I. Large shamrock with last name initial - P. Three smaller shamrocks represents our kids. Total cost was $450.
Try this. https://10000boatnames.com/

Two Docks name
My brother and I just bought our first boat, a 2004 Maxum 3300 SE. we are both physicians. We named it "Two Docks".
I'm trying to decide on which of these logos for the name to use that I designed.

Congratulations Doc on the new to you boat. If you are both single the 4 th one may be the way to go if you want to attract mates. If already married which do your spouses like?

Ha!
Yeah #6 is simple. My brother wants to keep it simple. I'll follow-up here when we come to a decision. Thanks Dustin
