Default Bilge Heater

Hey All,

I think I'll have another month or so before I have to worry but I'm already thinking about winterizing. My plan is to still use the boat over the winter months if possible (I'm in Georgia, USA and weather can get into 70's in December even) so I was just planning on winterizing the water heater, freshwater and holding tank. There is a bilge heater installed but since it was a bank repo, I have noone to ask to find out where the power supply is located. Anyone have any ideas where a common place to put a bilge heater on/off switch might be? Any tips for a noob on winterizing?

As always, thanks in advance.

Default Re: Bilge Heater

yeah..I lived in georgia for a few yrs...and definitely the south can still boat...heck..if we see 70 degs up here in the pacnorwest...that's bikini weather!!...

the bilge heater may have a 110 vac switch located close by in the engine bay...usually they are aftermarket instl...so no telling where the PO may have installed one...and the 110 vac circuit would HAVE to come in at the AC panel in the salon...
