I've read some reviews, seems that there are some complaints that sometimes these come off? Is this due to bad fitting? There are cheaper versions is the stingray worth the extra money? I'd hate to spend over £100 ( aprox $200) for it to fall off after a few hours!

The NO DRILL design is for the birds… I bought the stingray xr111and will probably be installing it tonight. It will be bolted on with locknuts and locktight thread sealant. All the reviews I read..and I think I read them all, said they are awesome “IF” you can keep them on…. I can take some pics if you want…

Look into the Nauticus Smart Tabs.... I put them on my 1900 and love them. Much quicker to plane, planes at slower speed, better cornering, less chine walking... I did a lot of research on hydrofoils and wasnt comfortable with the extra pressure they put on the outdrive. Granted the Smart Tabs require that you drill a few holes in your transom, which has quite the "pucker factor", but once installed and tuned, they are great.
