Default Any Arizona People that tow to Powell. 89 Closed south of Page.

This is not going to be a quick fix. The 160- 98 detour will add about an hour to the tow/drive.

I plan to tow my boat up early April to store in Big Water. I doubt it will be fixed by then.

Depending on how frequently you make the drive and the cost of fuel. I'd calculate the cost to tow around the detour as compared to the cost for secure storage. It might be more cost effective to store the boat local to the lake and drive a car or the tow vehicle less the boat and trailer. Afer all, an extra 100 bucks a week doesn't take long to make secure storage look appealing.

Yeah. That's the plan as mentioned in the OP. Tow the boat up in April and store it at Big Water for the season. I then have a couple options. Drive up in the truck empty or drive up in the car and have them launch / retrieve the boat.

oldno7, I've heard good things about Big Water and even thought they are a bit out of town i think it's the right place. Have you had any mechanical work done by them?

Yes, they have done mech. work.

Nothing major(knocks on wood)

Oil/outdrive oils

Pull and inspect outdrive, impeller,etc.

We notify them when we will be arriving, they put the boat out in the yard and usually fill it with water for us.

We show up, hook up and go.

When we return, we unload in front of the building and they put it back inside.

We measured the difference in fuel consumption towing vs. paying for indoor storage, it takes less than 2 trips a month to pay for itself.

Also--we always fill up in Greenhaven enroute to launch, their prices are usually pretty good.

Was a bummer though--last year they went to e-10, we add treatment every fillup.

Thanks for the beta 7.... pretty much sounds like what I have planned except I will not leave it over the winter. I use it at the local lakes when it cools down.

Maybe we can raft up sometime. I'll cook up some poppers

looks good, I have the same bbq.

We usually go 2-3 times a month, spend a lot of time fishing.
