I got a used 2007 Maxum 1800 SR3 in fall of 2013. I've been out a few times in it and I love it. there are a few things I'm curious about and I know there are a few items I'll need to address... it's used after all. Just wanted to reach out to other owners to share information.
My biggest concern at the moment is why the under floor storage locker does not drain to aft through the bilge drain hole. I've tried all manner of things to poke through but it appears the gas tank or some else is sitting between storage locker and aft engine area. This concerns me because when it rains and the boat is moored the bloody thing could start to fill up if the water does not make it back to bilge pump area.
are you sure the locker drains into the engine compartment and not to a side thru hull fitting? Have you tried using a hose to see if any water is making it through?
Not sure what you have tried using to open the blockage but an electricans fish tape may help as it is somewhat flexable to make bends.
