Any antenna will work but the higher it's mounted the better for reception. A marine rated antenna will handle the elements better over time.

The little wire antenna's that come with the radios are poor.

There are a large variety of Omni-directional antennae for TV as well as for AM/FM.

I have this one and love it. The amp is wired to an aux switch at the helm. Coupled with a 12v tv, we love being able to watch tv even when not on gen or shore power.

1byone Amplified Marine Antenna with Omni-directional 360° Reception, 70 Miles Outdoor HDTV Antenna Boat Antenna with Stainless Steel Base, Suitable for Outdoor and Marine, Anti-UV Coating ,Compact https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010SP0TEI..._hlz3yb17T4DGX

I have not put in a splitter to break out fm (no, am does not come through these antennas despite what they say) because I have not had any issues with the existing fm antenna situation.
