air conditioner shutting off after a while
I have a 2001 Maxum SCR 2900 with central air. I have always just shoved a window unit up against the mid berth window in previous boats so not much experience with a central air unit.
anyway i set the temp and fan and mode and the air flow is nice and cool when i go to bed. then it seems to shut off during the night or day- whenever. seems to be a while maybe an hour. If i go to the panel and turn down the temp it will turn back on.. for a while. then it shuts off again.
i get a nice powerful stream of water out the front starboard drain. i pulled the filter in the engine room and it seemed clean. I even swam under the boat to look at the water intake and it is clear.
the AC water pump in engine room seems quiet and smooth.
what would i check next?
