Default Advice on Purchase - 2002 - 2700 SCR

Good morning everyone,

My wife and I are looking at purchasing the following boat, we are new to the 24+ size of boat and would look for any direction from people who have been in our 'situation'.

We have 3 smaller children under 6 and would really like to show them Lake Superior and do alot of fishing/camping/exploring.

The boat is a 2002 2700 SCR and is in immaculate condition:

28 FT,32LOA , 9.5 FT BEAM, MERCURY 6.2LT MPI, BRAVO 3 DRIVE WITH TWIN STAINLESS PROPS 600HRS,
WESTERBEK ONBOARD GENERATOR 100HRS
SHORE POWER HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONING,
HOT AND COLD PRESURIZED WATER SYSTEM,
OUTSIDE SHOWER AND SINK,
FULL HEAD,MICROWAVE ,STOVE, FRIDGE,
SIDE SHIFT BOW THRUSTER,
ALPINE STEREO SYSTEM WITH 10" SUB 500WATT AMP ,
2 CANNON MAG 10 DOWNRIGGERS ,
EXTENDED SWIM PLATFORM,

LOWRANCE HDS12 ELECTRONICS RADAR, FISH FINDER,CHART DOWNSCANNER
CAMPER TOP

This is the boat:
2002 MAXUM LOADED WITH OPTIONS | powerboats, motorboats | Thunder Bay | Kijiji

We could probably get the boat for 20k-22k, USD.

Can anyone comment on their experience with having younger children on a cruiser?

Is this a good starter boat for a family that has been on inland lakes forever and would like to transition to the great lakes?

Thanks for any comments or suggestions.
