The biggest issues was that although it had holeshot, it had awful bow rise ... I fitted SMART TABS, and that cured the problem with slight improvement in acceleration,m and definite improvement in straight line tracking, esp against a beam sea.

This old thread still kickin' around! I'll trade you my carb for your MPI. I'm still pulling grown men up with a aluminum 23' prop and three adults in the boat and I have never taken my carbed 4.3 over 4000rpm. Guess I need to break out the video cam. Nail that throttle man!
