A Boat a Day!

Yesterday was what life with a boat is all about! I took my 2004 2100sd about 45 miles each way to a party at my sisters place on Camano Is. In Puget Sound from Seattles Lake Union.

This an open bow boat that doesn't see a lot of time on the Sound.... But it was one of those magical Seattle days that had nice weather, low wind, and A tide at sis's that eliminated a 300 yard walk through muck...... So we decided to take the boat up!,,

Through the locks, single handedley (one way)...bigger waves than expected for
A few miles, picked up my wife, niece and 2 young nephews in Everett.

Then cruised to sis's place and partied all afternoon....then, just my wife and I for the ride back to Lake Union on as smooth of water as you can expect in Puget Sound! It was magical.

What a day, boating, family, sunshine, new experiences, it doesn't get much better than that.

I am still shopping for a cabin boat....So I can do this type of trip more often. I may shop a little harder now!,,

My previous boat was a 20' bow rider and on the Chesapeake it was typically a wet ride however come September I really got great conditions and explored distant places.

We got a few waves spaying over the boat as well ....the 3 and 6 year old nephews loved it..... The women, not so much😀.
