Default '99 Maxum 2300 SC?

Hey everyone, I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I am looking to get any input/comments on a boat I looked at today. Its a 1999 Maxum 2300 SC. The boat is super clean, it seems to have been meticulously maintained. It comes with a bunch of extras which I will list below.
I am new to boating, so I was hoping some of you guys might be able to tell me if this is a good deal or not? It is a brokered boat, the owners were asking $14,995. I offered $13,500, they countered with $14,000. The boat has no trailer. Hours unknown due to there being no hour meter.

Extras include:
-(2) push off poles
-Full tank of gas
-(8) bumpers Taylor Made lifetime warranty
-(6) mooring lines w/shock adapter
-Coast Guard requirements
-(3) ski vests
-(6) orange life jackets
-extra prop
-combo water ski
-slalom water ski
-water ski tow line
-tube
-(2) anchors with line
-electric cord adapter
-new tonneau cover 9/6/16

Thanks for your input!

Welcome aboard

What engine and outdrive is it equipped with. I recommend a marine survey since you do not know much about boats. Find your own surveyor as the brokerages will be looking after his interest.

How old is the fuel and was it stabilized?
How old is the exhaust system?
How old is the raw water pump impeller?
Salt or Fresh water boat?

Yes stuckinmud15 hire a surveyor to go over this boat then take it out for a test drive before you buy. Period!

Good luck !

Assuming I hire a surveyor (which I plan on doing) and everything checks out, do you guys think this is a good deal? Thanks for the replies!

Your link does not work so I'd be curious to know the power package as well.

I had a '97 2300SC that I sold in 2004 for 19K. It was a great little cuddy but being 6'4" I needed more room so moved up. Mine had the 7.4L BIII combo and was both a rocket ship and very stable on big lakes like Powell.

Using yachtworld to search for this model within a few years of yours the price is average so it really comes down to condition which we cannot answer over the WEB. The extras are that uncommon to obtain in a boat sale. If the survey goes well and you like the boat go for it.
